Today marks an important milestone for the dna13 community.

We are excited to have formed a multi-faceted partnership with Thomson Reuters, a leading provider of intelligent information for businesses and professionals.

Both dna13 and Thomson Reuters are currently exhibiting at the largest international gathering of PR professionals, the Public Relations Society of America's annual conference, which runs from today through Wednesday in San Diego.

Joining me in San Diego are four members of the dna13 team: Dave Mannen, Sasha Kuehl, Mike Smith and Ashley Houghton. Marketing chief Alecia O'Brien, who is just days away from having her first child, is back at headquarters in Ottawa producing dna13's ambitious schedule of live streaming and tweeting from the PRSA event.

Visitors to the Thomson Reuters booth, on the PRSA exhibition floor next to dna13, will meet Global Head of PR Services Greg Radner. Greg and his team are discussing how the Corporate Services business of Thomson Reuters is developing innovative workflow and communications solutions for PR professionals, leveraging Web-based technologies.

The Corporate Services business of Thomson Reuters already serves more than 6,000 corporations with its investor relations, corporate communications and business intelligence services. Through high quality webcasting and website services, Thomson Reuters customers have been communicating to critical audiences - including investors, media, employees and customers - for many years. Their powerful Thomson ONE solution offers workspaces customized to the needs of specific workflows across a corporation, providing integrated access to the information and analytics required by each user-type.

dna13 is thrilled to contribute our television, print, internet and social media monitoring expertise and workflow functionality to the Thomson ONE solution that Thomson Reuters is developing for PR professionals. We will actively support the rapidly expanding sales and service team within Greg's group so the dna13 technology and media content remains cutting edge and easy to use.

Why Thomson Reuters?

During my 30 years in media and PR, I have developed a great respect for the intellectual prowess of Thomson and Reuters, two organizations that came together in a blockbuster merger in 2008. When my first employer, United Press International, was shedding assets, Reuters smartly understood the historic and commercial value of the UPI's photo service. Likewise, Thomson was years ahead of its peers when it recognized the future of newspapers was dim, selling off print media and reinvesting in financial data and other sectors. The string of successful Thomson acquisitions in the investor relations and corporate communications space has included Technimetrics, Carson Group, CCBN, Streamlogics and, as recently as last month, Hugin Group. Reuters, on the other hand, has successfully morphed from a provider of text information to an international multimedia news powerhouse that serves tens of thousands of online and traditional media channels in every corner of the globe.

What dna13 and Thomson Reuters share is a commitment to innovation, understanding customer needs and delivering with high-touch customer service. By making our SaaS technology work within the Thomson ONE Public Relations environment, we will be able to serve a much wider range of media monitoring customers than before.

The structure of today's partnership is similar to the highly successful channel dna13 established with CNW Group in 2005. We will continue to work closely with CNW in Canada, and with our existing global customer base.

Building a company is a community affair. We'd like to thank the loyal customers and employees of dna13, along with those in public relations and social media who have given us important insights along the journey - helping us build the organization toward today's partnership with Thomson Reuters.

Look for more information about this partnership and the solutions we're developing in the coming weeks. Feel free to contact me directly at darmon@dna13.com with any questions.

Regards,

Here is an old rule! If you want to be really successful in affiliate marketing, you ought to drive traffic to your website. The more visitors to the website, the higher the probability of click through. Many affiliate guides forget to mention that it is always prudent to build traffic first and then consider affiliate marketing. There is no magic potion. If there is no traffic, there are no profits. Don’t worry, if you haven’t got hordes of visitors, even a few visitors will do initially. Once these visitors start trickling down the web drain, you can place banners and advertising in appropriate places to get the results. A good affiliate marketer doesn’t care about the number of clicks but on the average number of clicks per visitor.
Such techniques, slowly but surely brings success. And with it comes a potential for much higher rewards
